Missions Week at Holmes was captivating and challenging
This year's Missions Week, October 31 - November 4, 2011, was both a memorable and fruitful time. The SEND Conference which was led by Max and Jessica Barroso, gave everyone present a new insight on missions as a whole. The theme for this year was "The New Face of Missions" and the guest speakers were Phillip Gschwend, Joshua Ben and Theresa King, Amber Roy, and Ben and Deysi West.
Each session was unique yet flowed smoothly into the next. Everyone's attention was captivated by the speakers' testimonies and teachings, as well as by their answers to some very difficult questions. Students were brought nearer to the reality of life on the mission field and were challenged to surrender their lives to such a reality. Afterwards, many students met to discuss what had been presented, with several confessing their desire to pursue this course of ministry.
