[Editor's note: I am grateful to Laban West for this death announcement for Maxine Kickok. Melvine and I knew her and Charley when I was president of Southwestern College in the 70s. We attended Muse Memorial Church when Bill and Bette Anderson were our pastors.

Maxine was one of 13 charter members of Muse Memorial Church when it was founded by the Rev. Dr.  R. O. Corvin.  Most recently they had been attending Northwest Christian Center in NW Oklahoma City, where the Rev. Terry Lowder is the senior pastor.

Many of our friends in the West, especially Oklahoma City will remember Maxine Hickok with fondness. She was a friendly and gracious Christian lady.

Your friend in all seasons,

Hugh Holmes Morgan

I know that Maxine will be missed. She and her husband were very kind to us when we were at Oklahoma City Southwestern College. Members of Muse Memorial took many of us students under their wings while we were at college, giving us a home-away-from-home. Maxine and Charles were one of those couples who took in Don and me and ministered to us in many ways. I will always remember that they had us into their home one Thanksgiving Day when neither of us could go to our own homes. It was such a blessing to us. Our prayers are with Charles and the rest of the family at this time. God bless.

Dear Charley, Charissa,Linda and Karla...our beloved friends,

Our hearts and prayers are with you all. We have so many memories which we will always cherish as we all worshiped and shared together at Muse Memorial Church.

Maxine was a faithful member and a blessing to all of us. We could always depend on "Max" to be there for us. Now God loves her so much and wants her to be there with Him.

May He comfort and strengthen you all in your loss.
