Mrs. Lorraine Wells Melton, wife of Dr. C. Y. Melton (former [president of Emmanuel College), passed away Tuesday morning, November 30, 2010. The funeral arrangements are as follows:
- Visitation will be Wednesday evening, December 1, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Pruitt Funeral Home (Royston, GA)
- The funeral will be Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. at the Franklin Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church
Mrs. Lorraine Melton worked for many years at Emmanuel College in the Business Office, and she was dearly loved by all who knew her.

[Editor's Comment: Melvine and I have known Lorraine for many years. Lorraine's father was Melvine's pastor at the Draper Pentecostal Holiness Church. I met her parents when I was dating and engaged to Melvine. I knew Lorraine's younger brother Ronnie. He was a good singer and sang in one of the men's quartets at Emmanuel College. As I recall Lorraine had an older brother Rudolph, a medical doctor in Danville, VA.
I am confident that Dr. Melton would be pleased to get a card or a letter of condolence from you. He is a great man, a good man, and a man who loves God with all of his heart. He is an excellent Bible teacher. He teaches an adult Sunday school class in the Franklin Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church. Melvine and I have driven over to hear him on a Sunday morning. It is about an hour drive from our home in Winder. The distance is worth the distance. Adults still respond to good teaching when it is about the Bible.
