How do these people survive?
Recently, when I went to McDonald's, I saw on the menu that you could have an order of 6, 9 or 12 Chicken McNuggets.
I asked for a half dozen nuggets.
"We don't have half dozen nuggets," said the teenager at the counter. "You don't?" I replied.
"We only have six, nine, or twelve," was the reply.
"So I can't order a half dozen nuggets, but I can order six?"
"That's right."
So I shook my head and ordered six McNuggets.
(Unbelievable, but sadly true...)
[Editor's Note: This joke was sent to me by Gordon Greer of Taylor's, SC. Gordon was a young airman at Elmendorf AFB when I was stationed there from 1967-70. He was a member of our Protestant Adult League (PAL) for airmen (men and women) and civilian single teachers who taught in our on base schools. He was a good singer and often sang solos in our Sunday evening worship services and sang in our adult choir at the chapel. He went on to finish his college degree and to study opera. He became a great opera singer and now he and his wife Jean are singing for the Lord. They have dedicated their musical talents to the Lord Jesus Christ. They are available for church meetings, music seminars, and master's classes in voice throughout the year. They have a special burden for "Music and the Holiness of God."
Jean joined the faculty of Bob Jones University in 1989, serving as a professor of voice,as as the Head of the Voice Department.]
