A new survey has been released showing that more Americans (and more Service members) would prefer to keep the Don't Ask Don't Tell policy in place than repeal it. This survey is very helpful, both because it employs more reliable methodology to achieve its results than have previous pro-repeal surveys and because it rebuffs the alleged overwhelming support for repeal. If you want to write your Senators, this is a good resource to cite, since it shows that likely voters would tend to vote against a Senator who supports DADT repeal.
Speaking of Senators, Senator John McCain recently stood up for the military and slowed down efforts in the Senate to railroad the repeal bill through.
[Editor's Note: This information was sent to me by Attorney Daniel Bloomberg, Litigation Staff Counsel with ADF (Alliance Defense Fund--Defending our First Liberty). I have written two letters in defense of the current Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy.]
