My memories of Brother Schambach are quite vivid. The first time he preached his title was "The Zero Factor." Substance, when you have nothing left but God ... you have more than enough! Jesus at the Tomb of Lazarus was dependent upon the power of the Holy Spirit to resurrect Lazarus.
I remember "tag-team" preaching between him and Dr. Donald Ned Hicks from Naaman's visit to the Jordan River, "Seven Ducks In Muddy Water." A unique presentation and a masterpiece of a sermon.
"Power After" the enduement of power AFTER having been filled with The Holy Spirit. Never go anywhere without the manifest anointing of God.
"Memories Of A. A. Allen" ... I admire the fact he never disparaged his mentor although Allen clearly was a troubled person. He chose to remember the Miracle Worker.
"Fire From Heaven," Elijah and the Prophets of Baal ... colorful ... but profound. Praising God and laughing at demonic forces disrupts their thought process and hinders their effectiveness.
"The Harmonic Voice," the graciousness of God to present us in such a positive way that He does the work and we look good by simply being there.
Brother Schambach is unforgettable as well as the substance of his messages.
[Editor's comment: I am grateful for Malcolm Burton's sharing about the preaching ministry of the late Rev. Dr. R. W. Schambach. I wish I had a photo of Malcolm Burton. He is a gifted preacher, writer, author, pastor, teacher, prophet and the senior pastor of Northgate Family Worship Center in Spring, TX. He serves as the assistant conference superintendent of the Grace Bible Ministries Conference, formerly known as the Texas Conference. Malcolm Burton writes a daily devotional which I get. I am blessed by this publication.]
