Whenever news breaks our, Hugh's News will break in.
It really takes a team of people to help me report and publish Hugh's News. I want to thank Dr. Michael Stewart, president of Emmanuel College, for notifying me Wednesday afternoon, December 21, 2011, of the death of my good friend, Larry Shaw, in Greenville, SC. He is a brother of Jack Shaw.
All three of us were students at Emmanuel College in the early '50s. Larry was a very gifted and talented baritone soloist and sang in quartets. He also loved to play the trombone, and was good at it, too. I always enjoyed hearing him sing. He sang a solo at his father's memorial service in Greenville earlier this year.
As soon as I receive the obituary and funeral arrangements I will publish that news for you.
In the meantime, let us pray for the Shaw family in Greenville, SC.
