[Editor's comment: I am grateful to Hugh and Lois Hoyle, IPHC missionaries, and the international correspondents serving Hugh's News, for this death announcement. I did not receive this news until Sunday morning, January 22, 2012, just prior to going to our church in Athens, GA, for morning worship.
It is better late than never to get this news. As I recall, I was a member of the World Missions Board when Larry and Margaret applied to be missionaries. Their call was to the Berber Tribes of North Africa. The Holy Spirit revealed the name of this tribe that is predominately Muslim to Larry. So, it was to these people God sent the Rodgers.
We thank God for calling the Rodgers, the World Missions Board for approving them to be our missionaries, and those who gave financially and prayed for them on the field. I would be interested in any testimonies from any of you about the heroic missionary efforts of this courageous couple who persevered to do the will of God in bringing the Gospel to these people.
