Lady Lion's Softball Honored at SSAC Banquet
The Emmanuel College Lady Lions received several awards at the SSAC softball banquet on April 27 in Columbus, Ga. The team was honored with the SSAC Sportsmanship Award voted on by all SSAC softball coaches. "It is a great award for our team and a testament to our players' character in competing the right way. We are very honored to be chosen by the other teams," said Head Coach Rick Sanders.
Other players receiving awards include:
Justine Kroner- Second Team All Conference (3rd straight All Conference Award)
Chelsi Sawyer- Champions of Character Winner (2nd year winning this award)
Elise Fowler & Jordan Najafi- All Academic Team
The Lady Lions are currently 18-29 on the season and are heading to North Greenville on Friday, May 6, 2011 for their first round match up in the NCCAA Regional Tournament against North Greenville. Good Luck Ladies!
