Do you receive The Guardian, the newsletter of Falcon Children's Home? If the answer is no, I am sure you can subscribe to get your printed copy by writing Falcon Children's Home at P. O. Box. 39, Falcon, NC 26342.

In the October issue I received last week, there are several interesting stories that may stimulate your thinking about our Children's Home at Falcon, NC, near Dunn, NC.

Joey Leggett shares about his early childhood growing up in a pastor's home and when he father was the conference superintendent there in Falcon.

He believes there is something very special about the day when we celebrate Harvest Train in November, the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. He describes what he senses is the true significance of the day, and "that is the unity and single-mindedness of purpose that are present among God's people that venture from nearby and far away places to give to children."

Like a seasoned preacher, he artfully quotes from the words of Jesus in Matthew 25:40, where Jesus stated, "Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."

Joey Leggett wrote: "I get the true feeling that Heaven itself is looking down on the Harvest Train Day and applauding the efforts of so many to reach out to the least of these. It is amazing how big the hearts of God's people are when there are needs to be met. This will be the sixty-first Harvest Train celebration."

In another article, he gives excerpts from John W. Brooks' book, Mighty Moments, where he tells about the beginnings of Harvest Train which was known as the Santa Claus Train.

I will share that story in another article.
