I must correct a statement I wrote about the Rev. Dr. Bill Post and his relationship to the IPHC, and what I failed to write about Frances in her work and ministry in the Memphis Church, Christian Heritage.
I am grateful to Bishop Leon O. Stewart for writing to let me know that Bill Post never joined any other church, although he did work for the Wesleyan Church. He maintained his credentials as an ordained minister in good standing with the IPHC with his membership in the Appalachian Conference. That is where he tithes his income.
In addition, Mrs. Evelyn Deedee Springer of Germantown, TN, related the following about the work and ministry of Frances Sue Crutchfield Post in their church in Memphis, TN. Here is what is now on my website:
Deedee told me over the phone about the work and ministry of Frances at their church in Memphis, Christian Heritage Pentecostal Holiness Church. Frances organized the Young Women's Auxiliary, taught Sunday school, etc.
Bill Post led the music and the great choirs that he took on trips to General Conference and the Sunday School Convention.
May God grant Bill Post and his family comfort in their time of grief and sorrow. We honor this precious couple who have blessed us all.
Let me remind you that Frances Sue Crutchfield Post's Homegoing Celebration will be held at 1 p. m. Thursday, November 17, 2011, at Greeley Wesleyan Church, 3600 West 22nd Street, Greely, CO. Pastor Steve Wilson will be officiating. You may view this celebration service online by going to: www.adamsonchapel.com. Remember it is Mountain Time--two hours from Eastern Time.
