The writer of the Book of James admonishes us to ask when we have a need. He said, "You have not, because you ask not."
Jesus said, "Ask and it shall be given unto you."
So, asking is Biblical and God's method of meeting the needs of individuals and ministries, like Hugh's News.
If Hugh's News did not have a financial need I would not have to tell you. We have come through a long summer and our funds in the bank are depleted to the lowest level since I began this ministry thirteen years ago. Although God has blessed our fund-raising efforts to purchase the Psalm 91 Prayer Bandannas for Chaplain, Major (Select) Randy Sellers in Afghanistan, our monthly giving to support this ministry has fallen off during the summer months.
God has helped us to be frugal with the money entrusted to us for Hugh's News. The regular expenses to produce Hugh's News remains the same. We have never missed a payment, and God has shown us favor and His gracious hand has been on this ministry. For a number of years, I paid the bills out of my own personal resources. However, I can not continue to do that. I am dependent upon God as my Source, and you, my loyal and committed readers, to help fund this ministry that reaches people around the world.
