Well, the time has finally arrived when Hugh Morgan will have his left eye operated on to remove the cataract there and implant a lens so his vision will be greatly improved.
Melvine will go with me early on Tuesday morning, November 1, for my surgery at Athens Regional Medical Center Outpatient Clinic. She will have to drive me home following the surgical procedure. They have one of the best medical staffs in the world, and Dr. Victor Anderson Crosby, a former Flight Surgeon in the Air Force, will do the delicate surgery. He is our ophthalmologist, as well as the doctor for several of our friends, fellow church members, and others we know.
The actual surgery will only take about 10 or 12 minutes when Dr. Crosby begins his professional work.
Although I have great confidence and trust in Dr. Crosby, I want to request your prayers for me as well. Pray for Dr. Crosby as he does the surgery, and those who administer the anesthesia and pain medication.
After midnight on Monday, I will be fasting until after after the surgery. I am blessed to have Melvine to be with me and drive me home.
