Hugh H. Morgan to have cataract surgery on his right eye on Tuesday, March 8, 2011

To my beloved readers of Hugh's News:

I am writing to you on Sunday evening, March 6, 2011. I want to inform you that I will be going in for cataract surgery on my right eye on Tuesday, March 8, at the Out-Patient Clinic of Athens Regional Hospital in Athens, GA. My ophthalmologist is Dr. Victor Crosby. He is a skilled surgeon and was a Flight Surgeon in the Air Force, so I am in good hands. When you choose the Air Force you aim high.

This morning, I went forward when my pastor, the Rev. Mr. J. Bryan Williams, invited those who needed and wanted prayer and anointing with oil to come forward. I was the first to respond. I went to church expecting to be prayed over by my pastor and the elders of the church. He did anoint me with oil in the Name of Jesus for my healing and prayed in the Spirit, in other tongues as the Spirit gave him utterance. I received his prayer with deep appreciation knowing that I have obeyed God's Word, and I believe that he prayed the prayer of faith for my healing. I want always to practice what I teach and preach.

Ther are risks to having this surgery as well as great benefits. There are risks by not having the surgery. The worst scenario is that I could become blind.

However, I am expecting a miracle of eyesight and God will extend my ministry to you by being able to see with a new lens, both for reading and seeing at a distance without glasses.

I will have to wear a patch for twenty-four hours following surgery. Melvine will drive me home. I will not able to do any work for several days. The rest will be welcomed from my labors. I am always eager to work and do what I can to help others.

The bottom line is this: I request your prayers for me as I undergo cataract surgery. Pray for me and my surgeon, Dr. Victor Crosby. I don't think he is kin to Bing or Bob Crosby.  I do know this that he is the doctor for Dr. C. Y. Melton and Kenneth Shealy, two men I respect and admire greatly.

Thank you all for your prayers. I am grateful for your mentioning my name when you pray to our heavenly Father in the Name of Jesus.
