Last Sunday after church at Holmes Memorial Church in Greenville, I asked Dr. James D. Leggett if the money had come in to pay the $150,000 that is needed now to complete the new dormitory that is under construction. He said, "No."
That stunned me while at the same time created within me a desire to pray and ask God for an answer to this pressing need for the college.
As I meditated upon it, I began to pray and here is what I learned. I sensed in my spirit that there is one or more of my readers with the ability to give $150,000. That would be no problem for them. However, they must believe that what they give will really count for time and eternity. Just think for a moment about a student who may go to Holmes Bible College this year and stay in that dorm. He may go from this Bible college to bless the world. Your investment will bring great dividends and you will be a vital part of those who will be saved, sanctified and baptized with the Holy Spirit through his ministry. God will credit to your account the blessings of this young man who preaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The next thought I sensed God gave me was that there are 300 people who read Hugh's News who are able to give a contribution of $5,000 for this dormitory. It's easy to see when you multiply 300 x $5,000=$150,000.
Why not consider today calling Dr. James D. Leggett at Holmes Bible College and let him know what you feel God would have you give to help finish paying for this new dormitory?
Why not give President James D. Leggett a telephone call at (864) 246-3566, or send him a letter at Holmes Bible College at P. O. Box 14188, Greenville, SC 29610-4188.
Contributions may be made by means of a check, credit card, or cash withdrawal. Make out all checks to Holmes Bible College. Please contact Mrs. Wanda Bucklew at business@holmes.edu.
