On Saturday evening, March 5, my family and I went to Stake 'N Shake for supper in Lawrenceville, GA.
Seated next to us was a man and a woman with some children and youth. I found out that they were youth leaders of their church, Heritage Baptist Church in Statham, near where we live.
The man gave me an attractive full color tract about their church. On the backside of it was how one may come to know Jesus as Savior and Lord. I received it with gladness because I rejoice when laymen and ministers (full-time) are sharing their faith with others.
Let me share it with you. If you are not a Christian and would like to come to know Jesus as your personal Savior and Lord, I pray that you will read it, and do what it says.
Here it is:
Here is how you can know for sure you are ready to go to Heaven
First, realize God loves you . . .
John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Second, realize that everyone is a sinner . . .
Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
Third, realize sin has a price that must be paid . . .
Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Fourth, realize that Jesus Christ died to pay your price . . .
Romans 5:8, "But God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
Finally, pray. Ask Jesus Christ to be your Savior, claim His promise of eternal life . . .
Romans 10:13, "For whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved."
Let me make this request of you . . . if you received this message of salvation and prayed to ask Jesus to be your Savior and claimed His promise of eternal life . . . you must tell others that you have made your decision for Christ.
I would be most grateful if you would write me and tell me about your decision. You may write me at hugh@hughsnews.com. I will be delighted to correspond with you.
When you write, I will write you back and offer instructions about how to grow in your Christian faith.
