A Great launch Of the Million Dollar Miracle
Kings Present $100,000.00 to President Leggett.

The Brass Lantern Restaurant in Dunn, NC, was the setting for a wonderful launch of the MILLION DOLLAR MIRACLE for Holmes Bible College. Moses and Dean King invited President and Mrs. Leggett along with Bishop and Mrs. Jim Whitfield and Rev. and Mrs. Reggie Till to a dinner meeting for the purpose of presenting a very generous gift of $100,000.00 as part of the Million Dollar Miracle.
The Kings presented two checks: one for $50,000.00 for the new dorm under construction and another $50,000.00 to apply toward the debt on the new campus. We are deeply grateful for the generosity of the Kings in rebuilding the Holmes campus. They gave the funds to complete the beautiful Brooks-King Missions House. The Missions House honors Brother King's father Henry King, and John W. Brooks, both missionaries to Africa.
The Board of Trustees initiated the MILLION DOLLAR MIRACLE to raise one million dollars to provide a Biblical education for students, to build the new dorm, and to pay off the indebtedness on the present campus. The heart of the effort is to trust God for 20 people or clusters of persons who will give or pledge $50,000.00 over the next three years. Another trustee has pledged $50,000.00 and others have pledged to form clusters to join with them to raise their $50,000.00.
We are deeply grateful to God for the remarkable generosity of Moses and Dean King. They are a tremendous blessing to Holmes and its commitment to train men and women to "abound in the work of the Lord" as missionaries, pastors, evangelists, leaders, and teachers.

Proposed Dorm Construction underway
[Editor's comment: We are convinced that God has positioned Holmes Bible College for a new beginning that will surpass the glorious past of this great Pentecostal Bible College. We believe God has given Bishop James D. Leggett to our college to lead the school as our president. I personally believe that many preacher boys and girls will be attracted to the college because of the gift of preaching that Dr. James Leggett has, as well as his knowledge of the Bible. He was a student in high school and college at Holmes and sat under the sound Biblical teaching and preaching of Dr. Paul F. Beacham.
Now is the time to rally once again to the noble cause of Holmes Bible College and invest our wealth in this school and the students. Bishop Leggett inherited a debt of $1,000,000.00 (one million dollars) when he accepted the call to be president. The cost of the new building, land preparation, the bringing in of electrical, water, gas, telephone, cable, sewage, etc. ran the cost over the projected budget. Let us pray and believe God to provide the money to retire this indebtedness and the school can get on with the mission God has given this great institution of Christian higher education as a Bible college. Letus lift up the hands of President Leggett, and remove this heavy burden he carries.
You may write Dr. James D. Leggett a letter letting him know that you are standing with him in believing faith, and well as a financial gift to the college.

When you write, please let Dr. Leggett know that you read about the Million Dollar Miracle in Hugh's News, and that God promoted you to write, pray, and give.
Jesus said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35).
It is only what we give to God can He bless and multiply. Five loaves and two small fish are never enough until we give them to Jesus. I am glad a lad gave his lunch that his mother had prepared. Jesus blessed and multiplied what the lad had given to feed not only 5,000 men present, but the women and children (probably 15,000 people) and had 12 baskets full left over for the 12 disciples and their families. You will find as I have that the word "blessed" means more fruitful and profitable.
We cannot improve on the words of Jesus. He is the giver of life and every good gift from our heaven Father.]
