Speakers for Founders Week:

Bishop Jim Whitfield is presently serving as Bishop of the North Carolina Conference of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church.  For the past 27 years, he has pastored the First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Goldsboro, the mother church of the IPHC denomination. In addition to his conference leadership, Bishop Whitfield presently serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Holmes Bible College, is an executive member of the Falcon Children's Home Board, and a member of the Board of Trustees of Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Georgia. Bishop Whitfield and his wife, Regenia, have four children and eleven grandchildren.

The Rev. Mr. Douglas Small is President and Founder of Alive Ministries: Project Pray. In addition to the activities of Alive Ministries, Rev. Small currently serves as the International Liaison for Prayer Ministries out of the office of the General Overseer of the Church of God. He is also an ordained Bishop with the Church of God. Prior to his conference ministry, Doug served as a pastor for more than 15 years. Rev. Small is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of Holmes Bible College. He and his wife Barbara have been married for more than 40 years, have five children and 13 grandchildren and currently live in North Carolina.

The Rev. Mr. Derrick V. Gardner, pastor of Life Springs Worship Center in Lexington, SC, grew up on the mission field in South Africa where his parents were missionaries for the International Pentecostal Holiness Church. He began his ministry at the West Columbia PHC in July 1989 with a congregation of 140 people. He led the congregation in phenomenal growth. When the congregation reached 400 people, he led them in planting other congregations. Rev. Gardner led the church in starting Life Springs Worship Center while the church at West Columbia continued to grow. Today LSWC averages over 500  people in morning worship and West Columbia averages around 200 people. Rev. Gardner and his wife Martha have two children, Brandon and Whitney.
