[Editor's Comment: I met Harold Turpin in 1952 when I was a student at Emmanuel College. I believe he was in high school there at the Emmanuel Academy.
Harold was a tall, robust guy, with a pleasant smile and personality. I remember he had a trailer where he sold Ice Cones. They were good, and so refreshing. I remember him as a youth with great potential. Unfortunately, I lost all contact with him since those days at Emmanuel College.
I wish someone in North Carolina had sent me the obituary. I know we are all too busy with many other things, and we tend to neglect reaching out to let others know what we know. However, I got an e-mail from a friend that he had died, but not where he had lived or died Meanwhile, I found out that his funeral was in Raleigh. I went to the Internet and found the obituary in record time. So, that's how this news was produced late at night.
Folks, I need your help. Hugh's News is dependent upon all of us. You, my readers, are Number One to me. I would deeply regret to have missed this news that is important to all of us who knew Harold Turpin. I knew his brother Clifton Turpin and his wife, Janice. I have visited in their home in Falcon on various occasions. I bless the memory of these brothers and their families. It is my prayer that the Holy Spirit will bring comfort to the Turpin family.
God's Word reminds us that "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on."
"Yes," says the Spirit,"that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them" (Revelation 14:13, NKJV)].
