"Happiness Is The Lord"
By Ira Stanphill

Happiness is to know the Savior,
Living a life within His favor
Having a change in my behavior,
Happiness is the Lord

Happiness is a new creation,
Jesus and me in close relation
Having a part in His salvation,
Happiness is the Lord

Real joy is mine,
no matter if teardrops start
I've found the secret
It's Jesus in my heart
Happiness is to be forgiven,
Living a life that's worth the livin'
Taking a trip that leads to heaven,
Happiness is the Lord

[Editor's Comment: I have been singing this song all day. I remember singing it way back in the 60s. It's a lively, fun song, that has a great meaning, and you can find meaning in knowing Jesus as I have discovered.

The Apostle Paul wrote:

"If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

18 And all things are of God, Who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

21 For He hath made Him to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.
KJV

My what a sermon or message in this Scripture passage.

Paul is speaking to us about Salvation. We are delivered from sin and brought into the Kingdom of God's Son, Jesus Christ when we come to know Jesus. We are made new creatures. Old things pass away, and all things become new. The things we used to love and enjoy we no longer desire them. God gives us new desires and in that process there is real joy, peace, and happiness when we are in Christ Jesus--a personal relationship with Him.

We were once alienated from God, but now we are reconciled with Him, the wall that separated us has been removed through the Cross of Jesus and His blood shed for us at Calvary. We find forgiveness for our sins and a settled peace within our hearts. The Holy Spirit, Himself, witnesses to our spirit that we are children of God and that our names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

Have you seen "The Passion of the Christ" by Mel Gibson? If you have it should draw you to the Savior Who alone can save your soul and give you eternal life. He suffered and died in your place when He became sin for you on the Cross of Calvary. Have you cried out and asked Jesus to forgive you of your sins and come into your heart?

Now is the time to do that. The Scripture says, ". . . now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation" (2 Corinthians 6:2, KJV).

Here is a suggested prayer:

"Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You in the matchless name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. I confess Him to be the Son of God, that He suffered and died for my sins, was buried and resurrected, and has ascended back to heaven to make intercession for me. I ask that You forgive me of all my sins, wash me in the precious blood of Jesus, and make me whole. Come into my heart and live there forever. I receive You as my Savior and Lord and desire to live my life for You and be a witness of Your redeeming love. Thank you for saving my soul. In Jesus' Name I pray."

If you prayed this prayer and meant it, I want to welcome you into the family of God. Tell someone else what has happened, especially your father and mother and other relatives, as well as your friends.  You have now become an ambassador for Christ. Don't be ashamed to tell the story.

Why not write me and let me know of your commitment to Jesus as your Savior and Lord.
