Greta Campbell of Greenville, SC, the host of Nite Line on Channel 16, and the Dove Christian Broadcasting Network, wrote today with an update on her sickness, surgery, battle with infections caused by antibiotics, and how God is bringing her through with healing and health.
First of all, Greta expressed her deep appreciation for all the prayers from the readers of Hugh's News for her. She is still on a strong antibiotic, but trusting that her body is healing completely.
Greta spent two weeks in St. Francis Hospital in Greenville and had colon surgery. After a few weeks of what she thought was back to normal physically, Greta, Inez (her sister), Pat (her associate and pianist) drove to Myrtle Beach for what they called a week of complete rest. They went down there on Sunday evening and on Tuesday Greta had to go to the hospital due to infection caused by so many antibiotics. So she spent three days in the hospital at Myrtle Beach.
After coming back to Greenville, Greta had another "set back" for a short period, but thank the Lord she is much better now. She wrote that she is so grateful for my friends who have prayed ernestly for her. She received many calls and cards from people who learned of her illness through Hugh's News. "Thank you for letting many of my friends know I needed prayer. God is so good and I am so grateful for the many prayers of friends."
Greta concluded her e-mail by saying, "Please know I love both of you (Hugh and Melvine) very much and appreciate you checking up on me. Don't ever forget me."
Love You, Greta (Pat loves you, too)
Greta has been back to Nite Line a couple of times since all of her sickness, and is planning to be there this Thursday, the 2nd of December.
Greta Campbell hosts her program, "Nite Line," every Thursday evening from 8 to 9:30 p.m.

They run three channels that cover the Upstate of South Carolina, Northeast Georgia, and Southwest North Carolina.
The programing of Greta Campbell's Nite Line can now be seen on the Internet by Streaming Live by going ot www.wggs16.com.

[Editor's Note: Greta Campbell was selected a few years ago as Hugh's News Woman of the Year. I have known her since 1963 when I pastored my first church in Alabama, Brownville Pentecostal Holiness Church in Conecuh County, near Evergreen. She and her trio conducted a two-week revival that saw many saved, sanctified and baptized with the Holy Spirit. It was a revival that shook the county by changing the lives of people who sought and found God or God found them. Greta Campbell, Ramona Garrison and Pat Welsh made up that trio.
Melvine and I were privileged to go to the Holy Land a few years ago with Greta and her brother-in-law, Pastor Phillip Hart, pastor of the Flatwoods Pentecostal Holiness Church in Elbert County, GA. Greta and her trio come every year to the annual homecoming of this county church that always draws a large crowd.
Greta Campbell is a solid preacher of the Word and can touch your heart when she preaches. She lives what she preaches, and God has honored her for many years in Christian television.
I recommend that you connect with the streaming of her television station via the Internet.]
