Greg Morgan appointed Editorial Consultant to the editor of Hugh's News

Greg Morgan, son of Hugh and Melvine Morgan, accepts a part-time post as Editorial Consultant to the editor of Hugh's News.            

Greg was born in Evergreen, Aabama, on June 29th, 1964. He started studying the piano when he was eight. When he was a teenager he studied piano at the Birmingham Southern College Conservatory, and became a church pianist at fourteen.

Singing was also a highlight of his musical journey. He went on to receive an Associate of Arts degree in vocal performance from Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Georgia. Next he earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Greg also studied the piano throughout his college experience. He had two major roles in Opera Theatre his senior year of college.

Over the years Greg has taught piano and voice to both children and adults, respectively. He has also taught choirs, hand bells, and even a marching band. He now thoroughly enjoys teaching elementary music for the Cobb County School District.

Greg believes that music appreciation is important as well as fun. He has sung in television commercials in Oklahoma, and was once a back-up singer for Andy Williams. He was also a member of the Oral Roberts Concert Choir. One summer he was a member of the Celebrant Singers out of Visalia, CA.

Greg has accompanied actors and singers over the years. He has also judged music competitions, written songs for school and church, and directed children's musicals.

In addition, Greg has a Diploma in Teaching English as Foreign Language from College at Polwarth Gardens, Edinburgh, Scotland. He was a tent maker missionary to Budapest, Hungary. He taught English as a Foreign Language for two years at Ujpesti Muszaki Szakkozepiskola Vocational High School, as well an English Consultant to Oil and Gas executives at Mol RT/Olay-Es Gazipari Laboratoriam (Shell Oil Company). He taught music and English at Athens Christian School, Athens, GA.

Greg's career in English took him to the Beverly Hills International School of Languages, to the University of Georgia where he, as a rater, corrected and evaluated English themes.
