The sage of the ages wrote these words in Proverbs 18:16, thousands of years ago, "A man's gift makes room for him and brings him before great men (Amplified Version)."
Most young men that I know are concerned about their future. If they are energetic, intelligent, motivated and focused on seeking God's purpose for their lives, I am convinced that they will discover the destiny God has planned for them.
When a man seeks first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness he will soon discover that all other things will be added to him. He won't have any problem finding work that he is gifted to do. People and jobs will come seeking for him. God's gracious hand and favor will cover him wherever he goes, and if he will focus on his strengths, and do what he is gifted to do, I am convinced he will have to turn down many unexpected opportunities that will be offered to him.
I remember when I was in grammar school I told my dad one day that I had no friends. He listened patiently and finally told me that the Bible says that for a man to have friends, he must first of all show that he is friendly. Those words of encouragement changed my life forever.
Today, I am blessed with many friends. They are like gold and silver to me. I am grateful for the people who have trusted me to be a friend to them. God has indeed blessed my life and has given me a place to serve others in a world that needs the light of the Gospel, and a hope that will never die. We have a wonderful Savior and Lord. His Name is Jesus. Do you know Him today? You know you can invite him into your heart and life right now. Call upon Him and He will save you and give you a new life. He did for me, and I know He will for you. He will give you the witness of the Holy Spirit that you are a child of God, and that your name is written in the Lamb's book of life.
Why not write me and tell me that you have received Jesus by faith. Salvation is a free gift of God and it cannot be deserved or earned. It is yours for the asking. My e-mail address is: hugh@hughsnews.com. I promise to write you back if you write me.
