God is at work in church planting in the IPHC.
In the fall of 2010, EVUSA signed an agreement with Dynamic Church Planting International (DCPI) to assist us in church planting essentials they have successfully used here in the states and around the world. DCPI is not a denomination and does not govern churches. It is a teaching organization. This organization is led by Paul Becker who teaches church planting.
Today some over 120,000 churches have been started as a result of their teaching. Five courses of approximately three days each are taught. They are:
Church Planting Essentials,
Churches Planting Churches,
Mentoring Church Planters,
Establishing a Church Planting Movement,
and Growing New Churches.
This is NOT new material for the IPHC, but rather it is well packaged and Scripturally founded teaching that is closely woven into a Biblical package.
World Missions Ministries of the IPHC has also chosen DCPI as their basis for teaching Church planting. The material is in many languages and has already been proven in over one hundred countries of the world. For the first time EVUSA and WMM are teaching the same material in church planting. The co-operation and potential successes for significance are phenomenal.
By 2012 end the EVUSA team will be certified to teach all the courses in DCPI. The team (Thompson, Bryant, Hilliard, Avila) will also be Master Trainers--meaning they can certify others to teach the courses. (Rick Fountain, Luis Avila, and Dock Hobbs of the PFWB will also be Master Trainers.) World Missions will have their Continental Directors and Regional Directors certified to teach the first course, Church Planting Essentials.
The EVUSA team will teach the first course ten times across America in 2012. The goal is to certify conference leaders to teach the course. These leaders will then teach pastors. The goal is that ultimately every IPHC pastor will have access to the teaching in 2012.
The team will also teach the second course in two locations this year. The second course is Churches Planting Churches.
The ultimate goal of EVUSA and WMM is to move the IPHC toward a Church Planting Movement. It has been proven that the best way to win the lost and make disciples is to plant churches.
