The 2011 Chaplain's Retreat certainly on paper looked promising. Sometimes an event does not live up to the billing, but not so with this retreat.

Chaplain Morgan planned a wonderful mixture of relaxing, talking with old friends and making new friends, listening to excellent speakers, seeing historical places and praying for and encouraging all present.

Out of the many highlights I want to mention one and that involves Dr. Vincent Synan.

In a question and answer period following his talk to the group, Synan was asked to comment on an event in his life that had given him the most joy. This man has been involved in many, many historical aspects of the Pentecostal/Charismatic movement in the past fifty years. After a very brief pause Dr. Synan answered by stating the denomination accepting his ministry had brought the most joy to him.

Thank you to all who helped make this retreat a blessed time.
