Dr. Garnet Pike :
I have had the privilege of being influenced by the life and ministry of Rev. John W. Swails in many ways. As a student, fellow faculty member, congregant, and friend, he "yet speaks" to me and Frances. His wisdom helped me shape the School of Christian Ministries at Emmanuel. His love of the Word, his continual discipline of memorizing Scripture, his anointed preaching, and his heart for God marked his extraordinary life. As we celebrated Father's Day this past weekend, we are more poignantly aware that we have lost a Father in the Faith.
But Rev. Swails was also a great family man. Our love and prayers are with all of the family at this time.
