Debra Renee Brewster, 54, wife of Rick Brewser, died Saturday, February 4, 2012

Debra Renee Brewster, 54, died 3:30 a.m., Saturday, February 4, 2012 in Oklahoma City, OK.

Debbie was born March 13, 1957, the daughter of Carl Adam and Violet Clara Fischer in Dickson, North Dakota. Debbie was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah where she graduated with honors and attended Christ For the Nations.

Debbie married Rick Brewster July 22, 1978. They were blessed with their daughter, Angela and son, Adam. Debbie was a loving mother who dedicated 8 years to home-schooling her children.

Debbie dedicated her life to the Lord Jesus Christ. She served in ministry alongside her husband for 34 years including IPHC missionary assignments in such far-away places as Singapore and Australia. It was her greatest joy to serve others with her gift of hospitality.

She is survived by her husband Rick Brewster of Midwest City, her daughter Angela Fultz (husband, Jeremy) and granddaughter, Meeka Fultz of Oklahoma City, son Adam (wife Brianna) of Des Moines, Iowa, mother Violet Clara Fischer of Colorado Springs, CO, brother Calvin Fischer (wife, Dorothy) of Denver, CO, and nieces, Catherine and Sarah, sister, Karen Nations (husband, Tony) of Nashville, TN, and nieces, Jennifer and Emily, and brother, Curtis Fischer of Colorado Springs, CO. Her father, Carl A. Fischer preceded Debbie in death in 2003.

Debbie had many roles as daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend but her favorite and most cherished name was Nana. She will be deeply missed.

Services will be Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at 1 pm, conducted by Buchanan Funeral Home, 8712 N. Council Road, in Oklahoma City.

[Editor's Comment: Many of my readers will remember Debbie was the wife of Rick Brewster. Together they served as IPHC missionaries in the Far East, where Rick labored as WMM’s Far East Supervisor. Rick also served as assistant director of World Missions Ministries in the administration of the Rev. Dr. M. Donald Duncan, World Missions executive director.

Bishop Frank Tunstall, superintendent of the Heartland Conference (formerly called the Oklahoma Conference), will be conducting the service on Tuesday, February 7, 2012.

Rick Brewster has granted permission through Frank Tunstall to publish this news in Hugh's News.

As editor of Hugh's News I want Rick and his entire family to know that we grieve with him and his family. We will never forget your labor of love along with Debra, and the tremendous contribution you have made to World Missions of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Rick's brother, Ray, was a special friend of mine. I have traveled with him to Ukraine to preach in a crusade and plant a church. We have joined together in promoting World Missions and the annual Global Missions Offering Outreach, when I was a pastor and director of World Missions for the Georgia Conference.
