Hugh's News is happy to announce that Adam Erwin, a Chaplain Candidate in the United States Navy, was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant (03), equivalent to the rank of Captain in the Army, Air Force and Marine Corps, on Monday, August 1, 2011.
He sent me a copy of his orders. Now, he can put on the new rank, silver rail road tracks. What an achievement.
In addition to this good news, Adam will graduate from the CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education Program) at the AnMed Health Hospital on Thursday, August 25, at 3 p. m. It will be held in the Young Lecture Hall of AnMed Health's Main Campus. Adam will graduate with five CPE credits, having completed the Residency Program. He is the Chaplain for the Psychiatric, Emergency, Pulmonary, Orthopedic, and Geriatric-Psych Units.
In addition to his involvement with the CPE Program, Adam is the associate pastor and youth pastor at Honea Path Pentecostal Holiness Church in the Upper South Carolina Conference. The senior pastor is the Rev. Mr. Ted Coody. Adam is married to Ted and Tammy's beautiful and talented daughter, Kuhiwa.
Adam Erwin is a graduate of Georgia Tech and Southwestern Christian University with a 72-hour degree in Chaplaincy Ministry. It is our hope to get him on active duty as a chaplain in the near future.
