Chaplain, Major (Select) Randy Sellers reports from Bagram, Afghanistan
Hello from Bagram Afghanistan,
I am currently serving our wounded warriors at Craig Joint Theatre Hospital, Bagram, Afghanistan. Everyday is filled with ministry to the wounded, sick and dying. We see all of our soldiers, marine’s, sailors and airmen from all components (Active Duty, Reserve and National Guard) coming from the different hotspots in Afghanistan to receive medical care.
I have talked to numerous brave young men and women who are dedicated to their country and their fellow comrades in arms. I am humbled to hear their selfless stories of bravery and courage. Often, their greatest desire is to leave the safety of the hospital to rejoin their comrade in arms on the field of battle. I cannot tell you how many times this story is repeated by different patients. Our military is full of men and women who have answered the call to provide freedom and a sense of security that each American enjoys.
These are the kind of men and women I serve on a daily basis. I hold their hand, pray with them, listen to their stories and enjoy their company. I am honored to be an Air Force Chaplain representing the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Bagram, Afghanistan. Through this ministry, the PH Church is reaching military members and civilians with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Please remember to pray for a safe return of all our troops in Afghanistan.
