Air Force Chaplain, Major (Select) Randy Sellers has been deployed to Bagram, Afghanistan. He left on Thursday, July 1, 2010.
Chaplain Sellers' assignment if for six months. He is a native American Indian. He has been serving as the senior Protestant chaplain at Vance AFB in Enid, OK. Randy writes, "I am trusting God to use me as His vessel of honor. I pray for His divine care for my family as they continue their lives while I am deployed."
Sheila, his wife, will be working for one of the Flying Training Squadrons at Vance Air Force Base. She is the effervescent daughter of Gary and Bea Vavak.
Dana, their youngest, is at Baylor University. Jon is at the University of Central Oklahoma/Oklahoma University with an Air Force ROTC scholarship. Haley and Justin are their newly weds.
As the director of Chaplains Ministries, IPHC, I want to enlist you to be a vital link in a Prayer Shield for God's divine protection as Chaplain Sellers ministers to some of the finest American troops in harm's way. Randy promises to keep me informed, and we will send you update reports from where he is ministering.
I have asked how we might help him. One of the needs immediately is 250 Psalm 91 Prayer Bandannas. They cost $7.99 a piece. That is $1997.50. If you would like to help me purchase these bandannas for Randy to give to those to whom he ministers, you may make our your check or money order to Hugh's News, Inc. Then, you can mail it to:
Hugh's News, Inc.
17 Sweet Apple Lane
Winder, GA 30680-3349
Your gift is tax deductible.
This is one major way you can support our troops in Afghanistan. These bandannas can be carried with the soldier, airman, marine, or sailor wherever they go as a reminder of God's love, protection, provision, and promises.
Thank you for your contribution.
Randy, by the way, is a graduate of Southwestern Christian University, Oral Roberts School of Theology, and he is an ordained minister in the Heartland Conference where Bishop Frank Tunstall is the conference superintendent.
We are all very proud of Chaplain Randy Sellers. Let us stand with him with our prayers and giving to provide for the 250 Psalm 91 Prayer Bandannas. You may write me by sending your e-mail to: hugh@hughsnews.com.
