Chaplain, Major Randy Sellers gives excellent report on Sheila's surgery on Monday

Chaplain, Major Randy Sellers gives an excellent report on the successful surgery done on Sheila's leg on Monday, April 25, 2011. Let Randy tell you about it in his own words:

"According to the surgeon, Sheila's surgery went smooth with no complications. He will keep Sheila in the hospital overnight. Tomorrow, Tuesday, April 26, he fully expects for her to be feeling better.

He said, "There is still a risk of infection, loss of feeling in her leg, and rejection of the bone graff placed in her bone.

"For the next 6 weeks, she will not be able to put weight on the knee.

"Thank you to all for their prayers. Please continue to pray for the above mentioned risks. We are believing for a complete quick healing."

[Editor's Comment: I am sure by now that you know that I love all of my chaplains, their spouses, and children. It is a passion with me as the director, endorser of Chaplains Ministries, IPHC.

I started Hugh's News some 14 years ago primarily for our active duty chaplains and their spouses with only 13 active duty chaplains. My mission was to keep them connected to the IPHC, informed, inspired and to know that I loved them and was praying daily for them, their families and ministries.

In the providence of Almighty God he has caused this newsletter to grow beyond all of my expectations. From 13 subscribers in 1998 until now, April 2011, God has given us more than 5,000 readers around the world. Only God could have done that. That was never my vision. So, I must give Him all the glory, honor and praise.

May I urge you . . . Please don't let up one iota in praying for Sheila Vavak Sellers. She is a highly motivated, energetic, and exceptional intelligent woman, wife, and mother. It will take a lot of patence for Sheila in her process of healing and full recovery. We are believing God for a miracle of healing and that everything will fall into place, no infection, no rejection of the bone graff, and no loss of feeling or use of this leg--all for the good and Sheila and the glory of God. Our prayers are all addressed to God our heavenly Father in the Name of Jesus Christ, His Son Who is the Great Physician.]
