Early Monday morning, December 5, 2011, I received an e-mail from Chaplain (Captain) Sarah Tarpley, United States Army from Kuwait. Her convoy made it safely out of Iraq down to Kuwait.
They are taking care of turning in their equipment, and other administrative and household duties, and are awaiting a flight back to the states, namely Fort Bliss, TX, and then home to see her parents, family, church members, and friends.
She is a real trooper and has done an excellent job in ministering to her soldiers. She has been a good communicator during her deployment, and we do rejoice that she is out of Iraq safely.
As Sarah's endorser and mentor, I am very proud of her. I salute Bishop Frank Tunstall for his untiring support of Sarah who is an ordained minister in his conference, Heartland Conference.
