Chaplain (Captain) James Paul Ward, Jr. reports from Camp Marmal, Afghanistan

It's nice to hear from our military chaplains who are deployed. Here is a brief report from Chaplain (Captain) James Paul Ward, Jr. who is currently on a year deployment to Afghanistan. He is an ordained minister of the Cornerstone Conference and was the senior pastor of the Stoneville Pentecostal Holiness Church.

The following is the report from Chaplain Ward:

"Sir, I offer you this brief update. As of today, I am about 11 days away from EML (EML is a benefit for deployed soldiers which takes them out of the combat zone for 15 days of non-chargeable leave plus (R & R). I will spend 15 days in North Carolina with my wife and kids. I am scheduled to re-deploy during the month of May and to PCS to Fort Sam Houston in November of 2012. I will be doing CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) at BAMC (Brooke Army Medical Center) so the training will be at a first-class facility. Joy and Jaylyne will move to Texas with me sometime during 2012, and we plan to spend a lot of time along the Riverwalk in San Antonio.

"Attached is a picture of the Gospel Choir Members that are part of the congregation I lead while here at Camp Marmal, Afghanistan.

"Blessings to you and your family. Thank you for all you do."

"Regards,

"CH James Ward"
