OATH OF OFFICE:
I, Randy Sellers, having been appointed a Chaplain, Major in the United States Air Force, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same, that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter, so help me God.

Following the promotion ceremony there will be a buffet luncheon for all the guests in the Vance Club. Randy has secured a special room for his guests.

Chaplain Sellers has arranged for a brief meeting with the 71 FTW Vice Commander, Colonel Roger Witek at 3 p. m.

[Editor's Note: Chaplain Randy Sellers has demonstrated executive abilities by his staff planning in the creation of this promotion ceremony. He is to be commended for his excellent staff work. He has proved he is ready for the next higher level of leadership in the Air Force as a chaplain and an officer. A military officer, such as a major, lieutenant colonel, or colonel, ranking above a captain and below a brigadier general is called field officer.

I must tell you that Sheila, Randy's effervescent and delightful wife, is the real motivation for his success. She has fit perfectly into the Air Force community, and has found her niche as a chaplain's wife as well as the wife of a very influential officer like Randy. It is so very important for a man to marry the right woman. Sheila is the best of the best. I applaud her. They work together as a team and bring a high quality of leadership wherever they serve.]
