It was my privilege to serve as the presiding officer for the GOLDEN WEST QUADRENNIAL CONFERENCE Session on Saturday, March 13, 2010.
The Conference was hosted at the Airtel Hotel in Van Nuys, California.
The Conference had 81 registered delegates and approximately 80+ additional visitors in attendance.
A PRAYER & CONSECRATION Service preceded the Conference on Friday evening, March 12th. This service was hosted at the historic Calvary Temple [formerly known as North Hollywood] PHC. Dr. Edward V. Hill II currently serves as lead pastor. The service content and format was modeled after our IPHC Solemn Assembly.The Conference in session elected the following persons as Executive Council members:* Curtis Belcher, Superintendent [2/3 nomination vote]
* Dr. Tom Murray, Assistant Superintendent
* Curtis Robinson, Secretary/Treasurer
* Billy Woods, Executive Council Member
* Anthony Archuleta, Executive Council Member
* Donald Carpenter, Executive Council Member
* Bill Kenedy, Executive Council Member
Dr. Vernon Simpson [former member of the GBA] was memorialized in a very fitting tribute to a great man of God. Whenever I think of California I always think of this Christian statesman. Dr. Simpson loved the IPHC!
A powerful video testimonial of God’s redemptive grace was shown on Saturday morning during the Conference and I wanted to share it with you, it’s entitled Magdalene Hope/Crossroads to Recovery. Go here to view – mms://wm1.riverbendmedia.com/iphc/CEM/MagdaleneHope/MagdaleneHope.wmv
Ministerial Credentials were issued as follows:Ordination (1) –
Rev. Efigenia Nava
It was an honor as the Presiding Officer to recognize the following conference attendee and guest:
Rev. Stephen Hanscom, Loan Officer, IPHC Extension Loan Fund
Pray for Curtis and Dayna. Curtis is in the process of relocating his parents to California and Dayna is en-route to Oklahoma to be with her father as he undergoes a very serious surgery later this week.
May God birth fresh vision and passion in this couple for the ministry assignment for which He has positioned them in the quadrennium to come.
