Holmes Bible College to hold Commencement at Holmes Memorial Church on Saturday, May 7, 2011.
Graduation - Just Around the Corner! Dr. James D. Leggett extends a warm welcome to you to be in attendance.
Holmes Bible College will be having its commencement ceremony for the spring 2011 graduates at Holmes Memorial Church at 11 a.m., on Saturday, May 7, 2011.
Bishop Ray Boggs, Holmes graduate of '89, and the current IPHC Superintendent of the Upper South Carolina Conference, will be the speaker at this event.
Prior to the commencement exercises, a breakfast and hooding ceremony will be held in the chapel of Holmes Bible College. This will take place on May 7 at 8:30 a. m.
Holmes is proud to announce the graduation of twelve students this spring. Eight will be graduating with their bachelor's degree and four receiving their associate's.
Five of these students (Bethany Maney of Taylors, SC.; Jennifer Moore of Graham, NC.; Lisa Ritenour of Greenwood, SC.; Miranda Weaver of Easley, S.C.; Olga Acosta Clement of Colombia) have been named to the Who's Who among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
[Editor's Comment: As a former student of Holmes Bible College, and a member of the Board of Trustees, I want to encourage all who can to attend this year's graduation at Holmes Memorial Church. This historic church is located at 1215 Buncombe Road and Briggs Avenue in Greenville, SC.
I am excited about the progress that is being made under the leadership of Dr. James D. Leggett, our new president. Now is the time for all of us to rally around him and this Bible college that has the potential to excel in growth in every area.
This is a time of rebuilding. Let us be patient and steadfast with our loyalty and support.
The Apostle Paul reminds us that, although we plant and water, only God can bring the harvest (1 Corinthians 3:6).
It is my belief we will begin to see a great harvest of new students enrolling and graduating from Holmes Bible College. Encourage youth to attend this Bible college.
I am grateful for what I experienced, learned, and applied in my own life and ministry as a student of the college.]
