Bishop Mike Gray, superintendent of Alpha Conference, pays tribute to O. N. Todd, Jr.

The Rev. Mr. O. N. Todd, Jr., Alpha Conference's oldest minister, went "home" Monday evening, July 26, around 7 p. m. Our loss is heaven's gain!

Rev. Todd had lived in a retirement home near Hoover, Alabama for several years. Brother Todd, as most affectionately knew him, was 93 years old. On August 14, he would have turned 94. As a credentialed minister, Rev. Todd faithfully served the Alpha Conference, IPHC and Kingdom of God for 64 years.

One of my last memories with brother Todd was in a Alpha camp meeting service at Oak Mountain Community Church. Though his physical body was weak and frail, he slowly made his way to the podium to minister in song. When he began to sing, his wonderful, rich, smooth, clear, distinctive voice, anointed of the Spirit, was amazingly strong. His ministry blessed many that day, as it had for years. Now, our brother, friend and colleague, is with Jesus, reunited with his wife Lois, who preceded him in death.

Please remember the family in prayer, asking for the Holy Spirit's comfort, peace and hope to surround them during this time of bereavement.

When funeral arrangements are finalized, I will pass them to you.

Mike Gray
