The Apostle Paul instructs us to "render honor to whom honor is due" (Romans 13:7).
It is fitting and proper to remember those who have labored among us, especially, those who have served as our general superintendent. Today, we call the person who is elected to that position of leadership "The Presiding Bishop."
Bishop Leon O. Stewart served for a total of eight years as our general superintendent. Today, December 5, is his 81st birthday. I, for one, would like to wish Bishop Stewart a happy birthday.
I am in communications with Bishop Stewart often. He writes, "I have had and am still having a wonderful life and ministry."
As you think about him and his wife, Miss Donna, today, say or breathe a prayer for them.
Then, you may wish to go one step further by sending him a belated Birthday Card.
