Allen Clark remembers the Communist attack on his Special Forces in Vietnam 44 years ago

My friend, the honorable Allen B. Clark, a West Point graduate and veteran of Vietnam reminded me that on June 17, was the 44th anniversary after his ill-fated day in 1967 when the Communist attack on his Special Forces camp brought on his horrible wounds.

He gave both of his legs in battle serving as an Army office with a Special Forces unit. How do we repay such a sacrifice that he has made?

Allen wrote, "I celebrate this day each year as the day my good and gracious Father in Heaven gifted me continued life. I am grateful for my life in which I have been granted the opportunity to live and laugh and love another year. I am grateful for my family, friends, classmates, and people with whom I have shared my life."

Allen and Linda Frost Clark reside in a lovely home in Dallas. They are Spirit-empowered Christians who are members of the Anglican Church. It is most interesting that these high church people have asked me, a Pentecostal Holiness minister, to be their personal pastor. I never dreamed of such a honor to be given. I dearly love them. I often communicate with them by phone, e-mail and sometimes by a letter. We pray together--I pray for them and they pray for me and Melvine and our family.

Allen is in much demand as a speaker all across the United States. His wife, Linda, is a gifted dramatist, and has written the script for dramatic presentations as she tells the story of great women in the Bible. She has keen insights that most of us who are men would miss. She is available to make presentations to your church or organization.
