A Miracle of Healing is needed for Lt. Colonel David Wiersma, US Army

Prayer Request from Pastor Rick Haug, Living Word Church, Maiden, NC

Hello Hugh,

I want to enlist your assistance please. We have a wonderful couple here at Living Word Church whose son is in the Army at Fort Sam Houston, in San Antonio.

He has recently been diagnosed with brain cancer, but the prognosis is good. He will be receiving radiation treatments for many weeks to come.

This marvelous young man is Lt. Colonel David Wiersma. He is married with children and is a God fearing man and extremely well supported by his wife and the family.

Could you please request the prayers of the host of friends you contact on Hugh's News? We believe a miracle is in the making and covet the intercession of the thousands who follow Hugh's News. Thank you for your attention to this matter and know of our appreciation for your ministry.

[Editor's Comment: I have known Rick Haug for many years. His father was the pastor of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Anchorage, AK, when I was a chaplain at Elmendorf AFB, AK. I advised Rick to attend Emmanuel College, and he followed my advice. The rest is history. I am very proud of Rick and what God is doing in his life.

I am very concerned about all of our men and women in the military and I am proud of them. I have served in the Marine Corps, the Army, and the Air Force. I would have joined the Navy, but I couldn't keep a job. I want thank God for allowing me to serve in the Armed Forces of the United States for 29 years and 29 days. And for the last 14+ years, I have served as the director/endorser of Chaplains Ministries, IPHC. It is my prayer that God will bring a miracle of healing for Lt. Colonel David Wiersma. I know something of the battles one faces with cancer, but I know, too, that God still heals today.

I offer this Scripture for healing for David Wiersma:

Isaiah 57:18, 19,

“I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners. I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, says the Lord; and I will heal him.”

Twice over in this one verse of Scripture God says, "I will heal him." God is so loving, merciful and kind, that He, like a mother or father, is willing to tell us as often as necessary to assure us of His power and desire to heal us. In the midst of our feelings that run the whole gamut of emotions, God will give us peace, and healing is on the way. "Expect something good to happen to you today." Oral Roberts said that, but I am saying it, too.

I am eager to hear of the next chapter God has in store for David Wiersma. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for healing David and restoring him to health. Bless him with glowing  health.

God responds to our faith in Him and His Word.
