A message from Edith Eby, wife of the Rev. Dr. Bob Ely, former president of Southwestern

Brother Morgan:
Just a note to let you know that I am praying for you, Melvine, Greg and especially Stephanie. I’ve been praying for you every day since Stephanie started her chemotherapy.

Part of a verse of Scripture in Psalms 57:1 came to my mind this morning. It says, “I will take refuge in the shadow of Your wings until the disaster has passed.” I like to think of God’s wings as being His BIG loving arms. I pray that you and your family will feel those arms around you during this difficult time.

[Editor's Comment: I thank God for the friendship, love and prayers of Edith and Bob Ely. They have been dear friends since I was president of Southwestern College in Oklahoma City. I have kept in contact with them through the years. Bob is an excellent preacher who preaches with passion and power. While he was president of Southwestern Christian University, he showed kindness and consideration for me and allowed me to speak in the chapel service and to present Chaplains Ministries, IPHC to the students.]
