Join Us in Giving Thanks to God !
Gratitude is an essential element of the Christian life. Holmes (Holmes Bible College alumni and friends) has a number of reasons to be thankful at this season of Thanksgiving.
We really pause to express our gratitude to the Lord for His provision through the year. We have expressed thanksgiving from time to time, but so many good things have happened, we just want to shout"Thank You, Lord" for your blessings to the Holmes family.
The new beautiful and functional dorm has been completed with four suites or halls. The students have moved in and all of our resident students are on campus. It is a great joy to see the students walking from the dorms to classes or playing on the campus. We can't thank the Lord enough for this facility.
We give thanks to the Lord for touching the hearts of alumni and friends to give generously to construct the building. There are some marvelous stories of individuals being led of God to give sacrificially. We may share some of these stories in the future.
We praise God for Carl Sturkie who has served as contractor for the new dorm and the Brooks-King Mission Duplex without charging the school anything. What a blessing he is!
The Lord is worthy of praise for our faculty and staff who serve so faithfully. Two years ago we had to reduce their income by 20%. We have not been able to restore the reduction, but they continue to serve the students of the college with dedication and excellence.
We can't leave out our student body. God is working in their lives in a wonderful way, and we will see them taking their places in the harvest field as so many have done before. We are proud of them.
