We are grateful for the correspondence from Sue Williams, sister-in-law to Gailya Williams List, that is keeping us informed on the health status of Missionary Statesman Philip List. Here is her report for Monday, December 5, 2011:

Last night, Sunday, Philip was transferred to back to another room, meaning no longer in need of ICU. This Monday morning , December 5, he ate some scrambled eggs, grits and a bit of sausage. He walked from the door to his bed during the transfer. We expected to walk a little this afternoon. Praise the Lord, this is another day forward for him! So very thankful to the Lord and for every prayer.

[Editor's comment: I am not on Face Book and never intend to go there. It takes all the energy I have to do Hugh's News, write and answer e-mails. Now, that is no criticism of those who like Face Book. If that's your thing, enjoy it, and get the most out of it.
Thank you for praying for Philip List and his wife, Gailya. I know that illness and hospitalization takes a toll on everyone, and we need to pray one for another. There is power in prayer, our communication with God and He will us.
Let us praise God together now for answered prayer. From being on the critical list to being in a private room, eating and walking and talking. Wow, that's progresss that Philip can see for himself. That's enough to encourage him and alll who visit his room.]
