2010 Georgfa Conference Camp Meeting and Quadrennial Conference

Camp Meeting began on Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock. The first speaker was Pastor Joey Elsky from Prattville, AL.

Pastor Joey leads one of the fastest growing churches in the IPHC, but it hasn’t always been that way. Pastor Joey has faced some tough challenges and overcame some incredible obstacles. He is very down-to-earth and approachable. This young man will encourage you in your leadership and faith and help you understand the steps he has taken to lead his church to a membership of over 2,000 with four weekend services.

The great thing is that Joey remembers vividly what it was like to be just a hand full of people struggling to grow–his story is one many of us will find relatable. Don’t miss this valuable teaching–Pastor Joey will be sharing the process his church has gone through to experience growth

Wednesday night  Pastor Joey preached a powerful sermon that electrified the congregation. No one can sleep through his one hour message that is entertaining, instructive, and full of passion to win people to Jesus Christ. He is a young pastor who is full of life, the Holy Spirit, and who walks through every open door, and challenges people of all walks of life to utilize their talents and gifts for the glory of God.

Thursday morning, June 10, 2010, Camp Meeting continues with  the Rev. Mr. Stacy Hilliard. Rev. Hilliard is a former church planter and pastor and now leads the Church Multiplication Ministries for the IPHC nationally. Rev. Hilliard will be teaching about "The Missional Church" on Thursday morning. Please understand...in these days, we must return to the Mission of Jesus–Rev. Hilliard will help us understand what that means and how we can be on mission with God.

Thursday night has Rev. Hilliard preaching at 7 o'clock.

The Georgia Quadrennial Conference.begins on Friday, June 11, at 9 a. m. (NOT on Saturday). We made this transition last year to spread Conference out over two days. We did so with this year in mind–knowing that it was a full business year, a historic year and we wanted to give ample opportunity to honor the faithfulness of God to the Georgia Conference.

PLEASE NOTE: Business WILL BEGIN on Friday morning. It is important that your delegates are in attendance on Friday morning when we begin. Registration will be open at 8 a. m. Our Presiding Bishop, Bishop Ronald Carpenter, Sr., will be our Presiding Officer.

Camp Meeting continues on Friday night with our Presiding Bishop at 7 o'clock. Friday is also the night where we will recognize missionaries and reveal the results of the GO Offering.

You will not want to miss hearing Bishop Ronald W. Carpenter, Sr. He is a powerful and anointed preacher and you will be stirred in your spirit, enlightened, and edified in your faith.
